Letztes Jahr hat die Vogelgrippe oder welcher biologische Sinn der Natur auch immer dahinter steckt, die Kolonie der #Basstölpel auf #Helgoland zu hunderten in den Tod gerissen. Ein grausamer Anblick, den man nicht mehr vergisst.
Dieses Jahr sind sie trotzdem wieder zum Brüten hier her gekommen! Nicht so viele wie davor die Jahre, aber es ist eine wahre Wonne zu sehen, wie neue Pärchen sich finden, neue Nester gebaut werden und neue Familien entstehen. Die #Natur findet immer einen Weg.

Last year bird flu, or whatever biological sense of nature is behind it, killed the colony of #Gannets on Helgoland by the hundreds. It's a gruesome sight to behold and one you'll never forget.
This year they still came here again to breed! Of course not as many as before the years, but it is a real delight to see how new couples find each other, new nests are built and new families are created. Nature always finds a way.
