なんとなく桃太郎についてウィキペディアを読んでいて、桃を食べたら爺婆が若返って子づくりして生まれたのが桃太郎、という「回春型」の出自というものがあると知った。正直、桃が割れて中に子供がいたという生まれは奇抜すぎて、それより桃のイメージにもあうし受け入れやすい気がする。が、なんとなく生々しいので童話にはそぐわないような気もする。回春型がすたれたのもそんなようなところだろうか

短編のモチーフをちりばめた素敵なカバーイラストは市村譲さん、カバーデザインは中村聡さん。
