Please reconsider doing this, as the binary supplied by microsoft is proprietary software and almost certainly chock full of malicious features:

Even so, I would recommend against using such, as it took only a quick glance of the vscode source to spot the JavaScript and the multiple pinned versions of isEven - thus putting you at huge security risk.
Please consider using a real editor instead, like; nano, emacs, vim or ed.
