Everyone in South East Australia is familiar with male Satin Bowerbirds - beautiful deep blue feathers. This is a female Satin Bowerbird - totally different! Still gorgeous though.

A falcon mid-flight at the Adlerwarte Berlebeck (a center for birds of prey / falconry) in Detmold, Germany.

Unfortunately I was too busy trying to get some in-flight shots that I didn't listen to what the actual species was. Maybe someone has an idea what it could be! I just remember it being some type of falcon (Falke). Really fast bird!
