真夏に咲く花。。。大きさや短時間で花が開いたり閉じたりして存在感があります。

MINOLTA α-7とSTF135/2.8[T4.5]に1.4xのテレコンバーターの組み合わせです。STF135にはアポダイゼーション光学エレメントが入っていて非常に滑らかなボケを実現しています。そして非常にシャープです。
トレードオフとしてAFはできません(今のEマウントSTF100はAF可能)。
同種のレンズに富士フイルムのXF56/1.2APDがありますね。
フィルムはFujichrome Velvia50です。

Tandem Skimmers in Black and White

This is a couple of black skimmers (Rynchops niger) at Gulfport, Mississippi.

"The oldest recorded Black Skimmer was at least 23 years, 1 month old when it was identified by its band in California in 2013. It had been banded in the same state in 1990." - allaboutbirds.org

I don't post all of the photos that I post here to my Pixels gallery, but I post the photos I like best. Some don't make the cut. I usually wait a couple of days and see how I feel about it then. This photo probably will not make the cut.

Take the Leap

This is a photograph of a northern cardinal (Cardinalis cardinalis) that I took in the spring. The bird was just leaving from and oak tree with pods for which the scientific term is "those hangy down things," me thinks. At any rate, they make a good backdrop for the photo.

You know, the photographs that I post here are not quite a vivid as the same photographs that I post at my pixel's gallery, because here, I reduce the size of the photos and usually make a slight reduction in the quality of the photos to make them easier to load.
