I have a lot of respect for those photographers who put their bodies (and cameras) on the line to get wave shots from in the water. I took this from dry land with a 500mm lens and teleconverter, and there is NO way I'd go swimming here anyway. The fish are big and toothy 🦈 #wave
You can see why they're called Monkshood. This is aconitum, a poisonous perennial plant. Their leaves can be quite finely dissected in shape.
There's a lovely Japanese Maple (Acer Aconitifolium) whose leaves look similar to Monkshood leaves. Would love to grow that one day...
