Before getting excited about new technologies, the first thing we should do is consider regulation, including legal measures. By differentiating what can and cannot be done through laws, we can prevent monopolies and avoid the expected confusion. This should be common sense. For instance, copyright laws are likely the first thing that comes to mind, but we cannot simply ignore discussions on whether to change the law to suit artificial intelligence, or to change artificial intelligence to suit the law. It's absurd not to discuss these matters.
