just came across your lemmy testing, would be great to get this figured out. I see the lemmy devs responded really harshly to your issue which sucks, I wonder how we can solve this....

But I understand both and

Both are overwhelmed by requests in which some users ask them to "adapt" to Mastodon, while it is often Mastodon that is non-standard.

I believe my request was incorrectly treated this way.

Among other things, I don't know if the ingenious solution found by kbin is activitypub compliant or if it's a patch.

The fact is that kbin is also a social network and therefore has a vital interest in adapting to Mastodon. Lemmy, on the other hand, is a pure link aggregator that "grants" access to Mastodon users, but wants to avoid distorting itself.

In any case, I hope that the Lemmy developers take my issue into consideration.

it might indeed be a mastodon specific issues and getting one of the mastodon forks to fix it there first may be the best way to handle it. I wonder if someone like might want to take a look at the issue for their fedibird.com fork

@liaizon @informapirata Is there anything that needs to be improved regarding compatibility between Lemmy and Mastodon?

Where can I find discussions pointing out issues?
