EmojiReactions sent to Fedibird will be forwarded to users and relays that follow the account of the target post, if the Activity is signed.
If you send akkoma's EmojiReact Activity signed, more servers will reflect the Emoji Reaction.
@noellabo @FloatingGhost Hello!
Pleroma and Akkoma do not support signed activities or objects currently. For Pleroma, it seems that was more to a design decision. Signing objects and forwarding them causes important trouble when it comes to Delete/Undo, and locking down instances via signed requests. I have been thinking about implementing LD signatures for a while, however (though, they may be optional).
Would it be possible to forward the activity by it’s URI (in the
id
field`)? Unless Mastodon would not understand that it should fetch the activity from the instance if done this way? (Such a change might be very difficult on Mastodon, depending on the codebase, though… and it may cause heavy loads on instances)
