it makes no sense to me that you have to follow an account to be able to put it in a list on mastodon. has any of the forks like #fedibird or #hometown patched this yet? #mastodev

@liaizon There are two main features that Fedibird implements.

The first is that you can choose to feed or not feed the posts of the users you follow to your home.

This allows you to feed only the list while still following the ActivityPub normally.

One is "subscribe features". This is the ability to feed public posts from users you don't follow to your home or list. You can target not only users, but also hashtags, keywords, and entire domains.

Blocking and muting are reflected as expected.

this is so cool I thought I remembered that you had implemented that. are these changes in patches that are documented or is there a way for an instance to use them without having to use the entirety of your fork?
