hey @noellabo what are your future goals with the fedibird fork? do you want it to be a community project or keep running it as a BDFL? Just trying to understand the state of mastodon forks at the moment and where they hope to be.

@wakest Currently it is a private fork, but there are plans to switch to a more public fork and it is in progress. Instead of installing a Mastodon server, allow Fedibird to be installed, like Glitch-soc or Hometown.

Its position is to complement the Mastodon project and propose a concept different from Eugen design. It does not aim to deny and replace the main line. While accepting contributions from the community, it needs to be Noellabo design and will be BDFL.
