In WCAG 2.2, I found a term "encloses" in Glossary section, with no links from anywhere in WCAG success criteria. I wonder what does this term means. The description only says "solidly bounds or surrounds".

i believe this was set up for an earlier version of w3.org/TR/WCAG22/#focus-appear - note 1 still has a remnant of this as well with its "encloses"

Yeah, it looks like someone forgot to update the definitions, they also sport the green borders for “new” stuff, which is usually not used in RECs, only in drafts.

Let’s say QA could improve, a lot. But then, what would you do with all that free time? See your child growing up? Pah! 🤣

@yatil @patrick_h_lauke Thank you so much for your comments. I am now working on WCAG 2.2 translation to Japanese, and I felt that the term "encloses" doesn't have to be translated. Is my understanding correct?

Good luck with the project! (We translated WCAG 2.1 to German and are looking into budget for 2.2.)

As long as there is no errata or a change to WCAG, I would translate it.

There was a discussion here and a change in the build to remove it, but no Errata added. I’ll leave a comment for Alastair to add it to the Errata. github.com/w3c/wcag/issues/351
