I'm against making atomic bomb's mushroom cloud into a pop meme and enjoying it. This cloud is no fun at all. This is the negative history that has taken the lives of hundreds of thousands of people. 1/3
Experiments in the US, the cloud killed many Native Americans and Latinxs. When the bombs dropped on Japan, at city's the industrial facility (Hiroshima) and the churche (Nagasaki), this cloud killed many Japanese, Koreans/Chinese/Russian refugees/Christian Europeans.
As mentioned above, the cloud is the symbol of the horrific war and the negative history. I think one of the reasons why this brutal meme is so popular is because many of the victims of nuclear bombs are POC. There are hundreds of thousands of victims and bereaved. 2/3
