Except it's not needed for electric vehicle batteries or grid storage. It's currently the best performer for vehicles, but a slight energy density advantage is not a big deal for most grid storage purposes.

@MolnarSteven This method can be used to extract other metals from brines as well.

I don't dispute the method is nice, I just object to the premise of the article.
