My friend is very fond of Japanese baths, but had difficulty understanding the Oidaki "Reheating" system.
I think the Reheating system first became popular in Japan with the Goemon baths.
bath heated directly from beneath, with a floating wooden
lid on which the bather sits causing it to sink (named after
the robber Goemon Ishikawa, who was boiled to death in one)
@IbuMichele
Reheating systems can keep family bath warmer for longer. This was an important system in a house with a large family.
By the way, I also love bath salts🤗 .
@seina I would *love* a reheating system. I meant the part about someone boiling to death was unnerving.
Oh, okay. Good.
By the way, the famous Japanese Goemon Ishikawa is in the anime.
He is very cool.

@seina that’s an unnerving story. Sadly, my bath is the modern kind, but it’s still nice and warm and I have bath salts from Iseshima
