Among the #emacslisp programs executable form the user interface ("commands" in emacs terminology) which I mentioned in 「Emacs Lis で作る」 (2003), the command "file-multi-occur" survived until today (originally I called it "multi-occur" but a command with the same name appeared in the standard set of emacs. So I was forced to rename it).
There are also M-x locate and its DIY variant of mine M-x my-spotlight, but M-x file-multi-occur is the most often used emacs command for search in my file system.
拙著「Emacs Lis で作る」 (2003) に例として挙げた自作の emacs lisp プログラムたち (#emacs の用語では "commands") のうち，"file-multi-occur" は，今でも頻繁に使っている．
これは，この本を書いた時点では "multi-occur" と呼んでいたものだが，その後，本家の emacs の standard set に，これとは機能の若干異る command が，同名の "multi-occur" として収録されるようになってしまったので，仕方なく今の名前に変更したものである --- emacs の multi-occur は buffers の中を検索する.
M-x locate や，自作の M-x my-spotlight と組み合わせて使うことが多いが，この３つのうちでも M-x file-multi-occur の使用頻度がダントツに高い．
現在の version では，指定した directory の中を，正規表現で検索するようになっている．検索範囲をもう少し柔軟にしようと思いながら，そのままになってしまっている．#emacs [参照]
