Microblogging media make it too easy to forget Mom's famous rule: If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. Several times a week I delete a draft of a snarky toot that might make a few people smirk, but won't make the world a better place. Sometimes I actually post them, then regret it within minute and delete the toot.

@Rachel_Thorn I also have a lot of Toots (or had Tweets) that I deleted before posting. Some were deleted shortly after they were posted.

There is a Japanese proverb that says, "Knock on a stone bridge before crossing it."(=石橋は叩いて渡れ)
I try to think carefully before posting, but it's not always successful... :thinking_parrot:
