My 2022 (job-wise)
This year, I tried to transform the way I work for the better.
I waved goodbye to the translation agencies who ;
- cannot afford the new rate I proposed,
- have clients that are not socially responsible, and
- cannot provide me with enough creative translation projects (I am a transcreator rather than a translator).
They were all wonderful people but I had to make a move otherwise I would be doing the very same thing for the years to come and guaranteed to be a sad old freelance translator with saggy eye bags and no prospects.

My 2022 (job-wise)
I spent an anxious 2 months with no jobs that I wanted, after cutting off my old connections; but now I have a new set of exciting clients (it involved 15 trial tests and numerous rate negotiations).
I stumbled around a lot this year but 2023 is looking good already. To start with, a catch copy I translated for a major international brand appears on the spectacular Times Square (NY) & Piccadilly Circus (London) digital billboards tonight! *** showing off ***
Anyway…
Wishing all freelancers a fun filled new year. Cheers 🥂
