Postmortem on Ohio senate race. I don’t think NYT really understands Midwest. My take:
1. DeWine somehow succeeded in dissociating himself from the abhorrent Ohio anti-abortion law. (He signed it into law as governor) Being a non-MAGA incumbent is a huge advantage. 2. Dems need to invest much more in “get out to vote”. 3. Why didn’t Ryan get national-level support he deserved?
