Wasabi Boosts Cognitive Ability in Older People, Study Shows
A new study shows that the traditional Japanese spice wasabi can improve some types of cognitive function in those aged over 60, offering a straightforward and rather tasty way of looking after our brains as we get older.

Unfortunately, this is the "real" wasabi, and nearly all the wasabi you get in the world is a surrogate: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wasabi#S

Only one time did I have the real thing, in a tiny dumpling bar on the Lower East Side (it wasn't even that expensive). It was very good, not even much better than the surrogate, but a different taste - it was a chopped herb in sauce, not a paste.

I've never seen it for sale in a store but apparently they also grow it in here in the Netherlands!
