余談
妻は30代で母を失いました。その時の妻の心情には本当には寄り添えていなかったんだと今頃になってわかった体たらくです。これほど喪失感があるのものだとは。
身内の話つづき
母は病に侵されて13年、最後の2年は病院で過ごしましたが、それまでは服薬管理をすれば家でも介護が可能な状態だったので、自分の生活はそこが基本となりました。この期間、泊まりはもちろん一日行程の山歩きも無理でした。そんな境遇を呪いたくなることもありましたが、今となればもっとしてあげられることがあったのではないかと思ってしまいます。
身内の話
母が永眠しました。お寺の都合で通夜までに時間がかかり、家で遺体を安置する期間が比較的長く、今にも生き返りそうな顔を毎日見ることができたのはよかったのですが、それは反面辛い時間でもありました。葬儀を終えて骨を拾って自分の中ではとりあえずの区切りをつけることができました。今日はそんな金曜日です。

How Now Brown Headed Cowbird
I haven't seen any brown-headed cowbirds (Molothrus ater) in weeks. I took this photograph in April 2024. During the late spring and early summer when I started seeing a lot of fledgling birds, I saw a few young cowbirds, but not many. Their presence doesn't seem to have affected the populations of other birds by very much. The trees are teaming with young cardinals and finches.
You know, the photographs that I post here are not quite a vivid as the same photographs that I post at my pixel's gallery, because here, I reduce the size of the photos and usually make a slight reduction in the quality of the photos to make them easier to load.

ヒヨドリが蝶をくわえているのを見ました。双眼鏡で見たときにはアサギマダラか!?って思ったのですが、画像を家で拡大してみるとゴマダラチョウでした。リンク先昆虫写真多数。
