Where is the Focus
In this crowded photograph of black skimmers (Rynchops niger), the focus is beyond the closest bird. I'm not sure how I feel about that, but I think it is okay.
I've had several inquiries about how to get a print of some my photographs. This is a hobby for me, so I haven't been equipped to handle those requests. But I enjoy what I'm doing and want to share my photographs.

Went and had another go at photographing red-capped plover babies. So teeny, so fast and generally so well camouflaged against the sand and beach detritus. Every now and then it would stand up against the blue blue sea though and I got some magical shots. If the image looks a little pixelated it is because it is cropped a LOT and also needed quite a lot of post processing to deal with the heat haze. #birds #birdphotography
そしてどうやら風邪を引いてしまったようだ。
それなりに睡眠時間は確保できたと思うんだけど眠りが浅かったので寝た気がしない。
昨日は9時過ぎに寝たら夜中に目が覚めてしまいそれからはつとうと。ドラクエⅢをプレイしている夢を見たり映画を見に行った夢を見たり。
なんかやばいことになっているんだ。その勉強はなんの役に立つんですかの成れの果てのような。 [参照]

シンクの排水が詰まってしまい妻が途方に暮れていたのを力技で解決したので 
帰宅チャスミル。誰にでも金曜日は来る！来た！
山渓もずっと読んでいたけど数年前にやめた。自分が山から遠くなってきたからな。でも自分の山行に影響を与えた号は捨てられずに取ってある。
アニマがなくなったあとシンラとかいろいろ出てきたけどやっぱりだめでそして消えていった。今はもう雑誌というジャンルが消えかかっているものね。
自分はアニマで育ったと言ってもいい。小学生の時から読んでいた。
ウィキペディアでアニマを見てみた。やっぱり記載は全然充実していないね。ネットが力を持つ前に消えていったものは、ネットにも残らないのだな。
アニマのような雑誌がもう日本に生まれることはないだろう…
野鳥関係の最新のまともな知識を得ようとすると野鳥誌が唯一のメディアだということも会員を続ける上で大きい要素。BIRDERじゃだめなのよ。
日本野鳥の会は日本で有数の自然保護団体であって、そこへの援助は大事なことだと思っている。とかく紅白で数を数えていた人たちでしょ？とか言われがちで、あのイメージで語られるのははっきり言って不愉快。もちろんその責任は野鳥の会にあると思っている。
