I like a challenge when it comes to photography, so when I spotted a couple of bats hunting over a river here in the Scottish Highlands this week, I thought I'd have a go at getting a few shots.
They fly quickly, they're small, they blend in with the background, they change direction in the blink of an eye and I was viewing them from a bridge, with dark water and distracting trees all around.
Thankfully with the right settings, the Canon R5 managed to lock on a few times.
