Who's watching who here? These little red-capped plovers are just the cutest things. If it had been seriously worried about me it would have flown off long before I could have got a clear shot - it had a look then went back to foraging. The background is a wave breaking

Probably 3 different males, but within 1 km of each other. White Winged Fairy Wrens always seem to liver near water, and somewhat incongruously for a small bush bird are frequently found near beaches. Like other fairy wrens they have the delightful habit of giving small courting gifts to their partners and in the first picture you can see that he has a little white petal for exactly this reason. The second picture shows one in my favourite way - with the ocean as a backdrop and the last picture is one on the beach #birds #birdphotography
