There’s been a lot of speculation around what Threads will be and what it means for Mastodon. We’ve put together some of the most common questions and our responses based on what was launched today:

・Threadsにログインしない限り、Mastodonにログインしているユーザーの個人情報は収集されない
・Mastodonには基本的に広告を表示する機能が含まれていないため、Threadsを使わない限りThreadsからの広告は表示されない
・Threadsは大量の個人情報を収集するが、MastodonのアカウントからThreadsのユーザーをフォローしたりメッセージを送信してもThreadsは送信したメッセージ以外の個人情報を収集することはできない
・いずれMastodonユーザーとThreadsユーザーがお互いにメッセージの交換などで交流できるようになると予想しているが、Threadsとの通信ができるかどうかはMastodonサーバーの鯖主によって決められる
・Mastodonはドイツに本部を置く非営利団体であり、完全に寄付によるクラウドファンディングで運営されている
