I always feel LDP Japan's policies are too similar to Republican in US, and Conservative Party in UK. The biggest difference is that LDP is calling themselves "Liberal Democratic" despite their close ties to the religious conservatism.

Japanese politics should be compared to the US politics with no Democratic Party, the UK politics with no Labour Party.
