This cherry tree is an early-blooming kind.
After these Kawazu-zakura are finished, someiyoshino begin to bloom.
Then Japanese people drink sake and eat lunch under the cherry blossoms in the name of appreciating cherry blossoms. ha ha! 🍶´-🌸
@mikako6 Hanami season is such a special time. We've visited Japan a few times during the cherry blossoms -- I especially liked the Philosopher's Path and the Keage Incline in Kyoto. Everybody was in such a good mood!

I have never visited Kyoto during hanami season.
