They're allowing AI art in the Knave 2 adventure jam. I joined the discussion on itch but it got locked with a "don't let the door hit your arse on the way out" sort of message. Really disappointing.

Fucker has no problem with genAI art in his precious Knave game jam (don't use it for writing, though!) /and/ he and his toadlicking sycophants show their entire arses in the thread on the subject (before it got locked, because of course he locked it).

Burn in hell, lazy AI bastards. Theft is theft is theft and that's exactly what those swillmachines do.

Isn't it nice to know he'll happily throw rpg artists (and other artists) under a bus?

There's a #Malaysian #horror #game that has just released recently called #PaperHorrorStories: #ThirdEyeOpen. I was already interested to check it out knowing it's Malaysian and HORROR at that, but was immediately sold when I saw the very #Yamishibai like graphics.

Game dev isn't much of a thing here (as far as I'm aware), yet, but now we have one that is getting some eyes on it I hope we'll get to see this space grow a lot more in the coming years seeing how it's been growing rapidly in our neighbouring countries in recent years. Needless to say, super cool to see environments and stories akin to my childhood.

Bonus point: the game supports multiple languages, but as for English, there's the option to pick between proper/formal English (UK) and Broken English which is essentially the commonly spoken English dialect local to #Malaysia/#Singapore.

@m2m If an elegantly-designed booksite for everyman is out of reach, how about the simplest project on my wishlist, a single-page web version of a talk with slides? HTML 4 with tables may still work, but how about modern best practice for such a page, with optimal scaling & readability as well as clear code?
I've spent innumerable hours online failing to get a grip on flexbox, grids etc, & at this stage would welcome an example to implement first & then learn.
