Why yes, I did buy a 1908 Edison wax cylinder at an estate sale, for no other reason than TO HAVE AN EDISON WAX CYLINDER.
Yeah It’s not truly Mastodon if you make a joke about software and no one tries to explain software to you.
Is everyone else looking at this fanbinding that was in this week's Rec Center? I need everyone to look at this so I'm not experiencing whatever emotion this is alone.

"And what is that holy taint?" the Demon Lord asked as stood and approached his returning general, Gilmore.
Gilmore shivered. "Made it easier to infiltrate their stronghold, milord," he explained as he pulled a half-forgotten amulet from beneath his high-collared shirt.
The Demon Lord frowned and quickly grabbed it and tore it free, incinerating it in his grasp chain and all.
"It harmed you," the Demon Lord said a moment later.
Gilmore nodded. It had burned.
The Demon Lord reached for Gilmore's buttons, smiling.
"We'll fix that."
"This," Rush told the tour group, "is all that remains of what was the border between Aront and Mirrian."
He gestured at a small section of rusty fence that still stood despite the best efforts of time and elements.
The tour group considered this and then reverently began taking pictures as if there weren't far better available in the last stop on the tour: the gift shop.
Rush continued talking about the merger of the nations and about peace that lasted centuries as he herded the group onward.
The fence stood quietly.
The gift shop waited.
Jerin kept their head down as they explained how they'd ended up in the Crown Prince's bedchamber.
"We spoke of the positions of the stars, and of the countries I've seen," Jerin said. They could feel steel at their neck and shivered.
"We spoke of flora and fauna and food..."
They continued until there was a sudden pause. The sword was withdrawn from their neck and they were hauled to their feet.
The Queen looked at Jerin for a long moment, a curious look on her face.
"Will you tell these things to Us as well?"
Jerin smiled. "Of course."
The king and queen were quiet for a long moment as they considered their youngest daughter's request.
Princess Priscilla had been a sickly infant, though it was hard to tell for she had grown into an active and stubborn young woman.
"I am of age" she reminded them. "I should like to go to Greenglen and become a dragon rider."
"Priscilla, dear..."
"I already have a dragon in mind."
That was that. Princess Priscilla then packed her things and went to Greenglen.
And both kingdoms celebrated her union with the dragon king's youngest son.
This is getting seriously ridiculous!
It is one thing that somebody doesn't WRITE their own papers, and another if they don't PROOF-READ their own papers – but a completely different thing altogether if the editors and reviewers don't read/see what's been written in a manuscript! Good lord!

If you want to create something, go for it!
Ignore the intrusive thoughts about not being able to do it. Start on something, and keep working on that something for at least three months.
After those months, compare your material to your early material, and you will notice progress. You will notice you have gotten better.
You will have proven your thoughts wrong.
