A reminder from someone who’s been around the block more than a couple times: when you see a PDF or ePub on the Internet that you think you might want to read eventually, go ahead and download it, and squirrel it away for the future. The Internet is not, in fact, forever, and Capitalism will eventually take away anything it can’t rent out to you.
Can you boost this please? I'm sort of load-testing / trying to reproduce a bug, and I think I need a bit more traffic to do so. Thank you!

I really like personal homepages and have quite a list of them bookmarked. I'll post one every week unless I fall behind this schedule. 😉 So here's Cool Personal Homepages #CPH Vol. 22: Patrick Jordan https://www.ariel.com.au/patrick/
Today's prompt, September 4: it's dark and there's only one flashlight featuring Gamlin (Macross 7) and the Major (Ghost in the Shell).
Kinda feel bad that all the tones and rest of the drawing got "hidden" because of the nature of the mood, but one day I may show the sausage XD I did a custom outfit for Motoko because the ones that could be more relevant were too complicated or didn't have good references online.
This one makes me happy in many ways

Since 2015, local lawmakers have implemented new protective laws for LGBTQ people across Japan. Couples can now access same-sex partnership systems in all 47 prefectures, including 39 prefectural capitals, which cover around 72% of the population.
I'd never heard of Ellipsus before, but now I have!

The platform itself: "Write, edit, and collaborate on any device. Ellipsus is a principled alternative to Google Docs—built for writers, by writers." Looks really nice, worth further exploration. And I appreciate their stance.
@amin Just registered a domain/set up a website as a start! https://editingmonth.org/
Matthew Meyer's new yokai book has a fascinating tale about a fisherman who married a mermaid.
When the couple ran into financial trouble the mermaid wanted to work as a courtesan but wasn't very good at it. Then they remembered that eating mermaid flesh is said to grant immortality. Not wanting to actually sell flesh, the couple opened a "Mermaid Licking Shop" instead where people could lick the mermaid for a few extra healthy years.
They grew rich and lived happily ever after.

By request I threw up a placeholder site so you can share the idea with people: https://writingmonth.org/
Okay, back to furiously coding. :)
Alternative idea to nonowrimo: Bookvember.
Just write a fucking book in November. Any type or style, just write a fucking book.
Going to write a whole novel? Brilliant! Just a little novella? Amazing! Writing your autobiography? Well done! An encyclopedia of the flora and fauna in your back garden? Go to it! A graphic novel? Yes please!
Boosting this as a result of the #NaNoWriMo #AI fiasco: @amin developed an alternate called
Check it out. Maybe write a few stories about #EndingAI.
It looks like you’d like to alienate your entire community.
Would you like a poorly-thought-out AI policy with that, #NaNoWriMo?
I do this every once in a while, thought I'd try again. I'm looking for accounts that post regularly about anime (or related stuff) to follow. would love a boost, or links to accounts, or I suppose servers whose local timelines I could check out
if you like to post about anime, or are just a big fan, you can just like this and I will likely follow you! you don't have to follow back (though of course, I'd welcome that if you wanted to!)
a little bit about myself in brief...I'm not a super prolific poster (though occasionally I've been known for a long thread about this or that), but I like to think I bring a positive energy to the fandom spaces I inhabit
these days, I watch quite a bit of anime! I watch a lot of seasonal anime across a lot of genres, so I'm happy to meet anyone who is into anything, really. I like to think that I'm an amplifier of other people's passion
outside of seasonals, I like quite a lot of things, but as of late I've been really into music anime, and am currently trying to fill in my gaps for idol anime specifically. I have a passion for idol anime that started later in life, but is now growing into a roaring flame. I've seen most everything idolm@ster, bang dream, and am working on love live now...and have a big list after that (I think I'll tackle idolish after doing some 1 cour shows). if you are into idol anime (in general, or just one franchise in particular), I'd love to follow you!
I'm also rather obsessed with symphogear lol, but I don't post about it too much. and ojous! but that's for another time :P
this is the thing that I and others struggle with on fediverse...I love all of the people I've meet here, but it can be hard to expand one's bubble. so I thought I'd give it a try!
NaNoWriMo gets AI sponsor, says not writing your novel with AI is ‘classist and ableist’
