This is a very comprehensive crash course on the various cuisines of China, HK/Macao, Taiwan, as well as the Southeast Asian Chinese communities - it even makes a lot more sense than most Chinese-language articles that still adhere to the Big Eight classification (even though Shaanxi, Teochew, and Hakka cuisines, for example, seem to be wayyyy more influential & popular than some of the cuisines included in the big eight!)

A text from my sister today: In a meeting this morning we’re all looking at a slide in the deck with a bunch of stuff color coded. Some dude chimes up, “I’m looking at this slide and see that the colors here represent all but one of the Infinity stones. The one we’re missing is the Reality stone.”

Can’t sleep because I had a brilliant idea—

It started with, “I wish there was a list of all domain names owned by media companies that billionaires own, so I can block them in Clew, my search engine that focuses on independent creators.”

Then I realized: in the DMCA Designated Agent directory (which I have an entry in, story for another day), most media companies list every domain name they own/operate. With some work on scripting sifting through the data, I could conceivably put this together!

For example, TIL Disney Enterprises, Inc. owns the “101dalmations.xxx” domain.
