"Well, what's the verdict?" Akane asked as Makoto took a bite.
Makoto was quiet for a moment, even after swallowing.
"It tastes fine, but I don't think it did anything."
Akane reached for one of the cooling muffins. "That can happen when you have to make an ingredient substitution. It'll either work, not work as well, or do nothing. But it's still important to try."
Makoto nodded and took another bite, unaware that Akane was staring.
"Or... it might do something else entirely... Let me grab a mirror!"
