Despite the time of day and her need to get to the capital before nightfall, Brooke stopped to look at the little shaded stall set up beside the road.
Its owner was nowhere to be seen, but there was a little honor box with a sign that suggested payment be prompt and in full.
Brooke looked over the goods, debating. She didn't need the stardust or the moon water, nor did she need that much mint ever.
Whatever was in the old pickle jar also clearly wasn't for her, but Brooke didn't mind.
She dropped a coin in the box; she'd needed the break.
@kalloway Ahahahaha, so, so true. In my case it was on lemon balm plant. It now is happily and eradicably in a large portion of the backyard.
