打开新索第一本，原来第一章开头就是lesser evil终章

索龙两年不到就从lieutenant升到了captain，而一般的海军士兵要10到15年

“I wished to study the attackers’ capabilities,” Thrawn said. “I would have protected you from serious harm, as indeed I protected myself.”

It was a question many had asked over the years. Thrawn had asked it of himself. The answer never seemed to satisfy the questioner. “Because there are problems that must be solved. Some cannot be solved by anyone except me.”

Or had the High Command decided they were tired of Thrawn’s continual focus on the man and wanted him to stop harassing the other commanders just because he thought they weren’t doing their job?

*Vanto twitches at the sudden volume and vehemence. The stormtrooper likewise reacts with surprise. He hastily steps away from the hatchway.*“Thank you,” Thrawn said.
He and Vanto stepped inside. “You disapprove of my words and tone?”
“I don’t disapprove of either, sir,” Vanto said. “I was just startled. I don’t think I’ve ever heard you shout in anger before.”

“It *has* been rather in his shadow, hasn’t it?”
Eli smiled. Once, he’d indeed felt that way.
But not anymore. Not for a long time.
“I’m not worried about it,” he assured Nightswan. “The future is what you make of it, as my father used to say. I’m a commander, I have a fairly decent list of victories on my ledger, and I’d like to think I’ve picked up one or two friends along the way.”
“Really?” Nightswan said. “Because Thrawn doesn’t seem to have. Not politically astute at all, from what I hear.” He snorted. “As for you, my young idealist commander, do you really think you have any friends on Coruscant? A Wild Space nobody who’s spent his entire career as a house pet to a nonhuman?”

啊哦不愧美帝了还有换衣服剧情，衣服差了两个码、、他俩单独出任务玩得挺开心的
夜天鹅怎么也知道索龙和安纳金的事情啊感觉所有人、🏳️‍🌈❓

不过，cygni怎么会认不出奇美拉以为是索龙在指挥呢……

Nightswan turns and begins walking toward the mining complex. “I have read about the nightswan,” Thrawn called after him. “Have you?”
Nightswan turns partially back. His face is obscured by shadow. His body stance again holds weariness, along with a quiet dread. “You refer to the fact that it sings only as night is falling?”
“Yes,” Thrawn said. “You do not expect your stand to succeed, do you?”
“I know that it won’t succeed,” Nightswan said.
“That does not necessarily mean the end. I can give orders for you to be taken unharmed.”
“They’ll be ignored. Half the troops here are Batonn Defense, and Restos is determined to get rid of me.”
“Then come with me now.”
“A man must do what he must, Admiral Thrawn. Even if his stand is against the fall of eternal night.”
