The burger phenomenon started in Karachi with Mr. Burger, the history is quite interesting. Locally, Islamabadi "burgers" (the people) are viewed as far worse than the ones in Karachi. Now, it has spread all over Pakistan, we have people that act like burgers even here in Peshawar.

@DigiVoyager Oh, this is pretty interesting article from the various perspectives.
btw, burger, as well as biryani, will isb never beat to karachi...? 🤔😆

Last month when I visited Peshawar, I actually amazed there's also bunch of burger type restaurant. I'm rather the type of person being happy enough to roaming around Kissa Khawani though, the local host at that time was exactly KP burgers, so they preferred to take me to the burger side's over and over... 🙄
Well, it's also interesting to know another side of Peshawar tho.

Islamabad will always remain a borrower of other cities cultures, its perennial dilemma, as it were.

The burger side of Peshawar is definitely boring, we do not really have many decent joints either maybe Jans. So many are just relying on their name or marketing on social media. Chief, a famous dating spot of the 90s. used to be good, still can be sometimes.

Most of my colleagues would surely class in the burger category, it is yet another reason we find one another so odd.
