@e_urq There are journos there right now making that point on the app.
I know very online people folks who took 10 years to build their following primarily on Twitter.
Maybe give them until the end of the month before the purity purges.
@kronocide lol I said I was getting close to the point of feeling frustration.
If that's your definition of a purity purge I don't know what to tell you.
@e_urq Your sense of frustration isn't a purity purge. But the sentiment shared by you has grown tremendously and will no doubt trend upward.
I want The Tony Snark Experience to end in a giant shit show just as much as everybody else. Just give some folks some more time is my point. It was much easier for me to leave then for them.
@kronocide Absolutely. I'm not even 100 percent off it yet myself- I'm transitioning to being fully off but still posting links to my daily news site.
My baby site is going to be hurt- perhaps quite badly though you can never know- by this. Twitter was my main strategy for growing an audience. I'd have been much better of if I'd had a solid year, instead of a few months, to get it off the ground.
It sucks. I'm totally sympathetic. I just also think it's time.
@e_urq Pull up a lawn chair and enjoy the dumpster fire. It will burn out in the next 4-6 weeks. If that.
@kronocide @e_urq Melon Husk has so thoroughly gutted the Twitter organization and brand that the value is a small fraction of what it was when he overpaid for it. We’re he to sell someone would buy it for the platform and code to rebrand and relaunch under a new entity. Even then it’s probably cheaper to build greenfields given that the teams of engineers that built and maintained Twitter have been scattered to the four winds.
@kronocide @e_urq it’s rapidly devolving into Parler. I finally had enough and deleted my accounts today.
