The only problem with "shaking things up" is that it creates chaos, at least in the short term. The slow demise of Twitter stimulates users, trusted content sources, and advertisers to go elsewhere. But where?
There is no designated ("everybody knows where") place to migrate to. People are creating accounts on 2 or 3 (or more) micro-blogging platforms, in hopes that one will emerge victorious. Like when VHS beat BetaMax.

@ArtStadlin @therobburgessshow I don’t think it matters where. What’s important is that those users and advertisers will not be using Twitter.
