What is the difference between SNS and other social apps like Mastodon?

In Japan, most smart phone users, even grandmas use LINE. The app includes news, electronic money, communities, etc...

So usually when we come to know each other while socializing in real life, we might want to exchange LINE. So we don't need to ask them to create a new account.

I don't think I would want to use any more social apps unless it gets popular...
