In Japan we usually only see them in the countryside. It is tough and wonderful that they can adapt to city life as well. 🦆🦆❤️
@mikako6 They usually live down by the river, it's unusual for them to be in a residential neighborhood.

It's a fairly recent development here. The geese stay year 'round but the past two years, Mallards too have been making a go of it in residential areas 🤷♂️
I enjoy because I they they are beautiful to look at, especially the coloring on the males 🥰
@mikako6 Eastern spot-billed ducks! They remind me of when I used to live in Hikone right in front of the Hirata River. Spot-bills, tufted ducks & widgeons would always drift smoothly along with the current past our kitchen window.☺️ They're so cute! How are you doing?
