Of all the things to to add AI to, why notepad?

Notepad. The text editor you use for when you positively absolutely MUST have a file contain only what you wrote for it and nothing else. The tool you use to strip out all the autoformatting and hidden character encodings so that you can then copy&paste it again into an address field or a config file or something.
Notepad, the app you launch when you very specifically do NOT want machine intelligence trying to help. Notepad, the tool that you use to remove the "helpful" additions that more sophisticated tools put in.

Notepad is getting AI because AI people are getting way too high on their own supply.
