One of the nice things about being able to say stuff like "nigger" and "faggot" is you don't have to resort to ToS-friendly babytalk like "unalive" and can actually have serious discussions without having to worry about offending the sensibilities of investors and advertisers.

Reminder that the cost of child care has a lot to do with how much children's lives are policed, because we live in a low-trust society and they can't just play in their neighborhood with the other kids. It's not normal to have to monitor children, excepting very small ones, all the time.

Without their gas stoves and generators, MORE people would be dying/dead.
If this teaches us ANYTHING beyond don't trust the government, it is NEVER LET THEM TAKE AWAY OUR ACCESS TO GAS FUELED ANYTHING.

26 years ago, someone bought an electric hand mixer for me because I didn't have one. They purchased the hand mixer from a thrift store for 75 cents (USD). It wasn't new when they bought it. I just used that hand mixer this morning. It still works fine. That's what I want back from products. Longevity. Not, "well, it almost lasted a year," and then needing to purchase a new one, while throwing the no longer functioning one in the trash.
