五輪開会式の話題がチラチラ目に入ってくるのだが、本邦の民主主義は「上から与えられた」ものであり、「血を流して勝ち取った」ものではないので、アレを受け入れる土壌がないのだなと理解している。エウメネスのいう「文化がちがーう」ってやつだ。
愚かしくも暴走し虐殺も起きたり反動で帝政が起きたりしながらも自らの手で勝ち取った、という意識の有無は、血を流さずに平和に政体移行できた（一応、薩長の私兵は流血してるが）という意味では誇らしいことかもしれないが、それは当事者性の欠如とコインの裏表なんで、うーんという感じ。
五輪を全然観る気がしない民なので、睡眠時間をばっちりとれてる。

Heat still ongoing after three weeks as of today, and after some worried googling because her first heat was only a week and a half I've learned that a heat can last as long as four full weeks. She's so bored and needs a day care day. 😭
(Luckily, once this nonsense is over she'll have banked so many days she'll be going five days a week for a month. I'm going to miss her.)

This is the toy known as "Bobs Leg". It is the dismembered leg of a ball stuffed frog (think round green and bouncy, with a head, but no remaining legs). It's called Bob.
Nothing else he has incites as much aggression in play as this. He throws it, he shakes it, he barks at it and he snaps at it. It is obviously an evil thing.
