What came to mind when I initially saw this photo was a bird sliding into home base.

At first, I thought this was a female house finch, it is the right color and there are a lot of those around. But when I started to make this post, the beak and the body markings looked slightly off so I hit with Merline's bird ID app, then looked it up in Sibley's Birds. I'm fairly certain this is a pine siskin (Spinus pinus). I've photographed a pine siskin in the forest, but this is the first one that I've noticed at my feeders.
