I'm up and moving around early this morning because I have a doctor's appointment. Nothing special, just a routine checkup. I have a bit of white coat syndrome, it's something relatively new developed in the last 30 years. I fully realize that it is irrational, but still my blood pressure tends to go up at the doctor's office. Maybe it's because it is the doctors who deliver bad health news, to be fair, they also deliver good news. But it is bad news that causes anxiety, isn't it? If you've ever heard the "C" word during a visit, you know of what I speak.

So, hello! Finally home from our trip. First, here's where we stayed in Seward, the Military Resort. A little history...this area was once a military base, Fort Raymond, during WWII.
