イスラム教徒の運転手、田畑ダニエレさん（44）が、頭髪を隠すスカーフ「ヒジャブ」を身に着けて名古屋市を中心にタクシーを走らせている。同市など17市町村の「名古屋交通圏」でヒジャブ着用の運転手は唯一とみられ、「イスラム教への偏見をなくしたい」という思いを胸に、2月から活躍中だ。
タクシー業界はコロナ禍で激減した運転手や客数が回復傾向にある。訪日客の増加も見込まれ、日本語やポルトガル語など4言語を操る田畑さんは貴重な人材。（田畑さんを雇用したタクシー会社）は他にも韓国や中国籍などの運転手を採用し、（同社の）管理部長は「外国人客対応が重要となっており、管理職に外国人を起用するなどもっと環境を整えたい」と意気込む。

So this is what I get up to.

This is my Rooftops of St. Ives print from Autumn 2023.

It is a seven colour screenprint. I love making screenprints (I also do linocuts but not as many).

It features lots of natural media marks and brush strokes as well as textures. There are three main colours with overlaid transparent black, light grey and white.

It is one of my favourite prints to date though I have done some recently which I am really pleased with.

I'm trying to become more of an artist and less of a graphic designer.
