Not a very robust bloom this year, but I'm just glad to see #flowers at all. (Last year the unusually warm winter - yes, I blame #ClimateChange - meant buds formed too early, then they all died off in early spring freezes.)

Gray tree frog on the front porch steps a couple of days ago.

Two years ago, I got to watch a pair of pygmy nuthatches raise a trio of little wide-mouthed puffs in this old trail post. Yesterday, I spotted this tiny friend. I'm so excited at the possibility of watching that furtive, rustling drama unfold again. 🥹🤞

Good morning, TGIF! How's everyone today? I worked 4 days this week, but it felt like 6. After taking off Wednesday, I worked 11 hours on Thursday to fix everything. I'm ready for the weekend! We have a nephew's birthday Saturday, that's about it though.
