Last Call
This is one of the last functioning phone booths in Iowa, possibly even America.
It’s in Kelley, Iowa, and I often pass it on my way from Ames to Huxley for work. I’ve thought about stopping for a photo, but the sky never looked right. Tonight, it finally did!
Wow, I love learning via importing old posts that the Google link shortener is going to purposefully break all links in summer 2025. Another good reason to not use shorteners; another thing you can’t control in the breakage train. https://developers.googleblog.com/en/google-url-shortener-links-will-no-longer-be-available/
If you're new to Mastodon;
Follow people and hashtags, lots of them. That's how this place works, there is no other way really. If you're waiting for stuff to come to you it aint gonna happen.
Start typing hashtags of things you're interested in and follow them. Put them in your introduction and/or bio.
Start following anyone that looks slightly interesting. Follow people who boost a lot and anyone they boost that looks interesting.

"To all my writer friends that use MS Word - Microsoft has turned their Al bits and bots on to automatically go through anything done via Word. Here's how to turn it off. File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Privacy Options > Privacy Settings > Connected Experiences"
On the Mac I found it under Word/Excel/Etc > Preferences > Privacy, and near the bottom was the checkbox for "Turn on optional connected experiences" which of course was on by default.
