For those who need a break from the bleak, that fresh box of cat you ordered has arrived. Enjoy with reckless abandon.
Lia dropped her purse on the kitchen table beside a pile of unopened mail and then looked over at the pile of dishes in and around the sink.
Well, she could at least take care of some of that with a little-
No, no, her therapist had assured her that summoning demons was not the solution for everything.
She would not summon demons to take care of her terrible dishes or to sort her junk mail. She could just-
Lia smiled. She had plenty of options and plenty of books for help.
Her therapist hadn't said a thing about summoning anything else.
So anyway, AI grifter platform AATONAU approached me to pay THEM for a ChatGPT article about my work and when I exposed their practices on my blog they have been ceaselessly attempting to bully me into removing my post.
Nov 7th they backdated a retaliatory blog post stating my artwork and writing is created via AI but... didn't use any of my artwork cuz that's copyright infringement lmao.
Anyway, read this, pass it along:
(MastoPrompt 11/9 Purr)
Mithrilda had barely gotten seated when the first dragon landed on her lap.
"Blanket," she said as she scooped it up and set it back on the floor. Dragons were allowed on her lap if she had a blanket on her legs.
She managed to spread the thick blanket over herself and get comfortable before she had two dragons also trying to get comfortable...
Mithrilda sighed. She had never intended to take in unwanted small dragons, but she could never refuse one...
The pair on her lap both started to purr...
Now could she reach her book?
(Nov 9, verdict, Flying Witch)
"Well, what's the verdict?" Akane asked as Makoto took a bite.
Makoto was quiet for a moment, even after swallowing.
"It tastes fine, but I don't think it did anything."
Akane reached for one of the cooling muffins. "That can happen when you have to make an ingredient substitution. It'll either work, not work as well, or do nothing. But it's still important to try."
Makoto nodded and took another bite, unaware that Akane was staring.
"Or... it might do something else entirely... Let me grab a mirror!"
Did you know that the CIA has a declassified field manual detailing the kinds of sabotage an ordinary person can do with lots of plausible deniability? With like, details for both specific industries and also general office work? I’ll quote some of the office work section, but the whole thing is only 20 pages.
“(1) Insist on doing everything though “channels." Never permit shortcuts to be taken in order to expedite decisions.
(…)
(4) Bring up irrelevant issues as frequently as possible.
(5) Haggle over precise wordings of communications, minutes, resolutions.
(G) Refer back to matters decided upon at the last meeting and attempt to re-open the question of the advisability of that decision.
(…)
(8) Be worried about the propriety of any decision — raise the question of whether such action as is contemplated lies within the jurisdiction of the group or whether it might confict with the policy of some higher eschelon.”

(9/5, temporal)
Kaela pulled off her robes as soon as she closed the door.
"Another temporal rift," she said flatly. "It's closed, but this is getting exhausting."
Willow looked up from the book she'd been studying. "Another one?" she asked. "That's three this week."
"This week?" Kaela questioned. "That was the fourth today."
"That was last week?" Willow frowned and looked over at her notes and the dates she'd been scribbling in one column. They were far from sequential.
Kaela sighed. "When do you think it is?"
"Past time to end this."
(Oct 27, contraction, Atelier Online)
Rose Hip frowned as he looked over the recipe that he'd been handed. He knew a few of the abbreviations and contractions listed, but some of the others...
"The assignment is to use all our resources to figure it out," Sorel explained.
"You're one of our best ones," Anise added. The other two nodded and after a moment, Rose Hip nodded as well.
"Let's see what we can figure out."
The student alchemists had already helped him beyond imagining, after all.
And he was curious what this recipe would make.
