Clearing out some old crappy photos to make space for new crappy photos and I came across these #sheep pics that I took a couple of years back. The farmer had just been by to feed them & I snapped some pics. They seem happy to pose for the camera. Made me smile ☺️

Congrats everyone who wrote for #WritingMonth - whether reaching your goal or not!
And a MASSIVE thank you to @amin for all his hard work creating and running Writing Month as an alternative to NaNoAiWriMo.
Congratulations and well done to everyone who wrote this month, whether you hit your goal or not! I'm so very proud of you all. Let's do this again.
"Instead, where real armors evolve against threats, fictional armors evolve as a visual language, borrowing the design elements of other fictional armors far more often than they dip into their own historical exemplars, with the result that the whole thing sort of devours itself."

Well, I made it 4/5 of the way through my #WritingMonth goal despite uspol, a really really bad headcold, a comic book convention, and a bunch of overtime. I'll take it!
And since every month can be #WritingMonth, I made the other 1/5 into a mini-project for December.
(One day I'll also need to archive all these stories but that's a problem for future!me.)
(MastoPrompt 11/7, Mourn)
Curtis knocked on the door of the townhouse and then waited. He'd dressed in all black, as was standard for his trade, but he had a bag with him with a few other options in case he needed to adjust for cultural differences.
Anything more would be an extra fee.
A woman opened the door and then quickly stepped aside.
"You must be the mourner," she said. "Do come in. I haven't had time to mourn at all and I still have so many papers to take care of."
Curtis nodded and followed her inside, mourning already.
"Leave it to me."
Arcee is an expert hand-to-hand warrior and sharpshooter. Her vehicle mode is equipped with several anti-personnel weapons like shrapnel launchers and tire spikes. In robot mode, she has merely average strength, which is more than compensated for by her incredible speed.

Dwen divided his attention between the competitors of the last round of the day and the expressions on Vermont's face as he watched them.
Vermont wasn't the easiest man to read, but there were exceptions. And neither group competing at present was an exception.
Well, Dwen would just mark the winner for the next day and see what happened and...
He was not expecting Vermont's hand on his shoulder or a comment that wasn't about the arena.
Dwen simply nodded. He had paperwork to finish first.
Vermont was smiling.

"Who's even going to complain?" Xenon argued. "You're the emperor now."
Alphonse sighed and did his best to frown, but Xenon knew he was fighting it.
"That's why I can't. Imagine if someone saw us!"
Xenon shrugged. "Wouldn't be the worst thing we were ever caught doing. Hey, remember that time when we-"
Five examples later, Alphonse was blushing bright red and looked like he was ready to give in.
"Maybe," he said, and Xenon grinned.
He had a few other suggestions, too.
Who would even complain about them now?
(WSS 11/13 Dish)
"You do have to feed me," the demon said, and Vega nodded slowly. He remembered reading that, and he had followed the instructions to add a small empty dish inside the summoning circle.
"What do you eat?" Vega asked quietly. Blood, or his soul, or something that would be complicated to-
The demon shrugged. "We could just get Taco Bell, I suppose. Unless something else sounds good to you."
Vega was not expecting that, but then again, he ate at Taco Bell fairly often. He probably should have guessed...
"Yeah, sounds good. Let's go."
(WSS 11/5 Figure)
Another day, another batch.
Serena quickly looked over her paints and made sure she had everything she needed for the morning. Each figure needed to be hand-painted, and for it to have the proper effect, it would also require a certain amount of prayer.
Serena could do both. She'd been painting figures of gods since she'd been old enough to hold brushes.
"You really don't need to model for me," she said to the god lounging in her studio. She knew what he looked like. She knew his prayers.
"I'll make lunch?" he said.
He could stay.

Sho couldn't smiling as he watched Nova dig in to his breakfast. He wasn't quite as hungry as Nova was and he also didn't have quite the same weakness for Alk's cooking that Nova did, but...
Once he started eating, it was good. A tasty breakfast that he didn't have to make himself was always good, and, well, Alk's cooking kept getting better...
Under the table, Nova's foot brushed against his leg and Sho nearly choked.
Across from him, Nova just smiled and kept eating.
Sho could play too. It was good.
(MastoPrompt 9/4 Opinion)
Gordon wasn't nervous, though he'd never gone up against a dragon before. Mostly he was curious as to how the dragon would respond to him.
The dragon was eyeing him just as curiously, surely thinking the same things.
"Let's keep this clean and stick to facts over opinions," the moderator said and both Gordon and the dragon nodded.
Introductions were made; the dragon's name was Nathaniel, and then it was time to begin.
It didn't even really matter if Gordon won the debate. He'd go home proud.
And with a new friend, too!
(MastoPrompt 10/27 Barbed)
Avery wiped the sweat from his forehead and then smiled. This was his first task as head of the family and he was right there doing it himself.
The barbed wire could go to the scrap yard; it wasn't needed any more. The fencing could be used elsewhere, perhaps. And when all of that was down and sorted, he could see about building a bridge instead.
It would be a lot of work, and not just physical work, but Avery couldn't wait to do it.
He waved to the other side of the river, where the barbed wire was coming down as well.
