In recent days the Armed Forces of Ukraine reversed most of the small gains the rashists had made around Yakovlivka, the east part of Bakhmut, Optyne and Kurdyumivka.

Ukrainians call mobilized Russian soldiers "mobiks" or "chmobiks" or "meat." In English, we say "cannon fodder."

Russian infantry are sent at Ukrainian positions repeatedly in poorly-supported assaults: "meat waves."

BREAKING: The January 6 Committee has officially made four CRIMINAL referrals to the Dept of Justice against Donald J. Trump. They are:

1—Obstruction of an official proceeding
2—Conspiracy to defraud the United States of America
3—Conspiracy to make a false statement (fake electors)

My fervent hope - perhaps a little naive, but fervent nonetheless - is that the special prosecutor has been waiting for the J6 committee’s hearings to conclude to keep the indictments as apolitical as possible.
